Clinical psychology and psychotherapy
The clinical psychology and psychotherapy department is headed by Dr. Iris Perey
Psychotherapy
- Proper psychotherapy based on scientific guidelines and the individual problems of patients on all wards, including individual and group therapies (e.g. psychoeducation for depression, psychoeducation for psychosis, social skills training, resource group, self-esteem group, mindfulness group)
Further training
- Further training of psychologists (Diploma/ M.Sc.) in training to become psychological psychotherapists
- Further training of hospital doctors to become specialists in psychiatry and psychotherapy for the psychotherapy section
- Introduction of medical students at the TU to the theory and practice of psychotherapeutic work in a psychiatric clinic as part of block seminars
- Induction of medical students at the TU to the theory and practice of psychotherapeutic work in a psychiatric clinic as part of block seminars
- Regular, free intervision for doctors and psychologists who are in training or further training during their assignment
- Psychologists who wish to acquire the additional qualification in group therapy can complete the necessary practical part of their training with us and receive the necessary confirmation for recognition
Internships
- Internships as part of their studies and internships prescribed in training and further education can be completed with us as a clinical internship. Please send applications exclusively by e-mail (Bewerbung-Pflichtpraktikum-Psychologie@mri.tum.de or Bewerbung-PiA@mri.tum.de) to the senior psychologists. Please indicate your preferred period and, for psychologists in training as psychological psychotherapists (PIAs), the name of your training institute
